All applicants are expected to complete a Foyer Housing Application form. If you are being referred via an agency, the Housing Application form must be accommpanied with a Housing Referral form, completed by a representative from the referring agency.
You can download a Housing Application form or contact the Foyer directly. Applications are also available from a variety of referring agencies within the Cork area, such as Threshold, Homeless Persons Unit, Cork City Council Housing Department, National Learning Network, Social Services, other supported Housing providers and many more.
If you are unsure or need help with completing your application form, you can ask your referring agency to help you or you can contact the Foyer directly for advice and support.
Within a few days of receiving your housing application, you will be contacted by a member of staff to discuss your application and invite you for an assessment.
Interviews are conducted by 2 members of staff and are usually held at the Foyer. During the interview, Foyer staff will need to gather as much information about you as possible in order to compile an assessment of your needs and level of support. During your assessment, you will be encouraged to be as open as possible to assist with this process. The Foyer encourages applicants to invite a close friend or professional worker to the assessment.
