Horticulture: VEC


This course is a FETAC Level III course but can also be delivered in a general way for those who want to get involved in the practical side of horticulture and not achieve a qualification.  It is delivered from the Foyer Garden project on the Foyer premises by a VEC tutor.  This course is suitable for individuals wishing to build a better understanding of horticulture, gain some experience in growing a variety of flowers and vegetables, and for those who wish to develop an appreciation of nature and the environment.  This course is open to those availing of a homeless service or those who are linked in with another service group.  It currently runs with 4 different groups per week from 11am-1pm on Mondays, 2-4pm on Mondays, 11am-1pm on Fridays and 2-4pm on Fridays.

  • Use and maintain a variety of common garden tools and machinery
